THE LODGE
The project prioritizes the preservation of the existing barn structure. Original architectural elements, exposed beams, and auxiliary shed are carefully integrated into the new design, fostering a dialogue between past and present. Sustainable upgrades minimize the environmental impact while maximizing comfort. This includes the incorporation of sustainable building elements, high-performance insulation, strategically placed windows for natural light and ventilation, energy-efficient HVAC systems and reused original floor surfaces and paneling.
